Mike Oldfield - Montreux 81 - Ommadawn (part I) (part II) (part III) Absurdly dated. The keyboard player's glittery keyboard motif shirt made me lol and the rest of the band look like 70s porn stars. Still, it's one of my favorite of his pieces, done rather well. excerpt of same piece, 25 years later, with choir and orchestra Magnificent, but the audio is too hot. Ran across the King Crimson last night too. Here's some modern King Crimson (from the Eyes Wide Shut DVD, the Fripp/Belew/Gunn/Mastelatto incarnation). King Crimson - Elektrik King Crimson - Happy With What You Have To Be Happy With King Crimson - The Construktion of Light (Trey Gunn is my boyfriend) OMB: ELP - From the Beginning (1997) Not really a very good version--but always one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite albums. |
