Lopster

Lopster is a Napster Client developed in C using the GTK user interface. Napster is a protocol for sharing MP3 files between users. With Napster, the files stay on the client machine, never passing through the server. The server provides the ability to search for particular files and initiate a direct transfer between the clients. In addition, chat forums similar to IRC are available

Actually it connects to winmx and opennap servers. Don't know much about it, for at the moment I'm on a network with crippled connections. It has good features, according to a friend of mine (well, he didn't use it either, since he is on windows, but chatted with lopster users). Lopster is GPLd.

i did hear about it a month or 2 ago ...
but started using psyslsk...wich aint too bad and has a lot of the flavour of music i like....
