Default Russia starts selling oil in rubles

This might have big economical and political repercussions:

Any predictions?

It won't have big economic or political repercussions.

Russia's domestic exchange is simply offering to trade futures contracts if people are interested.

No major problems until it starts trading in Euros, and even with our "pre-emptive" war/s; eventually it will.

The perceived power of the USA resides mainly in the dollar.

A thousand years from now, the survivers of the human race will study how we died and think, how utterly stupid.

Survivors? Are you saying that we should switch to Euros in order to survive?

Does this mean you and the mouse in your pocket will die of stupidity?

Sounds reasonable.

I'll probably die of old age; completely unrelated to oil trading.

It is better to keep your fingers away from the keyboard and be thought a fool than to type, submit, and remove all doubt.

The real reason we are in Iraq and want to be in Iran

Ah, it seems you mised this thread. Sinner countered the Iranian petroeuro bourse conspiracy theory quite well in my opinion.

And if you actually think the US is gonna start a large scale military campaign in Iran like we did in Iraq, then you really havn't been paying attention at all, have you?
