Please!!!!: Suggestions To Catalog Files Needed

Between multiple cdr backups and work-in-progress cdr-ws I've amassed 600+ cds just between music, some avis and setup programs.

I'm at a point where I have no idea where is what, and I have to resort to printed lists which is a throwback computerwise.

I've tried several programs, but I seem to be unable to choose (or find) the right one.

I need suggestions about a program able to catalog different types of files, able to search, and that let me at least select the type of unit (Kb, Mb).
