Cool What concerts or shows have you seen or going to see?

Saw Yonder Mountain String Band lat weekend. Was a very good time and a cool scene. They did a nice cover of Ob la di Ob la da and Zappa's - I am the Slime http://www.yondermountain.com/

Saw the Aussie Pink Floyd last November and they sounded great but not knowing it was actually Pink Floyd took away from it.

So this spring I will be traveling back up to Chi town to see one of the greatest guitar players ever. David Gilmour!!! Richard Wright (keyboard from PFloyd) will be touring with him. So it will be like seeing half of Pink Floyd

This summer I will be attending the Wakarusa fest with bands like Gomez, Govt Mule, Buckethead, Tim Reynolds, and something that should be interesting to say the least The Mutaytor

The David Gilmour Concert was better than I expected.
It was the same band except for Nick Mason that was Pink Floyd in 1994

First set: On an Island (the whole album)

Second set:
Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Wearing the Inside Out
Whats Uh The Deal
Fat Old Sun
High Hopes
Breathe
Time
Echoes wooooooooo hooooooo!!!!

encore:
Wish You Were Here
Comfortably Numb

This will be one hell of a show and at $240.00 US; cheap too.
That's a hell of a lot of bands for just $240.00.

Yes, quite a lot, though I've only heard of 14 acts. That would put me well behind the times, then, eh?

I seen the Mondays years ago.
Great show.
Guess what?
The show was on a Monday as well.
So it was a "Happy Monday"indeed, for all who were there.
Unlike this Monday, when I had a flat tyre in the rain.

Well,what a great show.
It was at Alexandra palace London.
What really surprised me was the age of audience
There were lots of people of an age group who were still baby's when he started out.A whole new group enjoying a marvellous performance.Loved it.
If your not a fan yet take some time to listen to his last two albums,as good as anything new that's out there.
God bless you Morrissey, despite what the press say, there are lots of us who love you.

Thumbs up

how was the funk?

saw some interesting bands last weekend at the wakarusa festival

flaming lips
goverment mule
reverend horton heat
disco biscuts
STS9
bela fleck
robert randolph and the family band
buckethead

my favorites were mutaytor and hurra torpedo

mutaytor fucked some shit up lots of athletic dancing with fire, hula hoops and a rope swing. surgery to seperate siamese twins was preformed on stage as well.

but the show stopper was a band from norway called hurra torpedo and their large kitchen appliance sound. at one point the guy picked up a stove over his head and smashed it on a dryer. all to the sound of total eclipse of the heart.

i even heard a band play "fearless" by pink floyd but i was too busy working (vending food) to know who it was.

hard work and hot camping but id do it again.
