I actually like Top 50 music but the way those vapid ballads from American Idol zoom to the top and those sound alike rap tunes proliferate is a little disconcerting to me.

Having a 16yo, 14yo, a 12yo and a 9yo ..it surprised me that we only have 3 out of that list ...#'s 20, 29 and 46....

Over the last week the tunes they have chosen to get are from the likes of Sam Cooke, Rolling Stones, Righteous Bros, Ben Harper, Eric Clapton.

Who says kids are slaves to pop!
