Haven't done exacting research on this item, but can't find it referenced on any website. Possibly a home job, the cover is a b/w photo of the mysterious 5-man Floyd (the one with Syd's head in the middle out of focus). The back cover contains the text at the top of this document.

Most of these tracks are available on a variety of other ROIOs. Some tracks have vinyl popping and crackling inherent in the original CD. The quality though is better here than from other sources I have heard.

The whole disc suffers slightly from over processing, or perhaps just too high gain from the original source. But again, quality on some makes up for this. Some tracks have some marginal clipping, but it's not too bad.

Track 3 is the "semi-obscured" version I believe it is called, with the "I'm high don't try to spoil the fun" line, but missing the guitar solo in the middle eight and the vocal overdubs ("in the air...", etc).

Tracks 4, 6, 7, 8 & 9 appear to be slightly different mixes of the studio versions. Perhaps just a processed MONO version? Very interesting nonetheless, especially Pow R Toc H.

Track 5 I think is the so-called "French EP" version, shorter and missing some keyboard overdubs.

Track 10 is the studio version.

Track 12 is also known as "Sunshine" and is purportedly a Piper outtake.

Track 13 is the studio version, while Track 18 is the Top Gear version.

Track 14 & 20 appear to have some extra guitar overdubs.

Track 19 is also from Top Gear I believe. (Not Look of the Week).

Track 20 is most curious, kind of like a working demo with a through line guitar track and a raw edited middle instrumental section.

Any comments or corrections are most welcome. Interested in knowing what SCX6157 and SCX6528 are, acetate test pressings perhaps?

enjoy!

I was just a little curious because every day there seems to be another 15 or so bootleg albums in the alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.bootlegs newsgroup. Might be some good downloading for a few Napsterites.
