James Miller, an economics professor at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, said P2P advocates are trying to "live out Karl Marx's dream that we can take anything we want." Said Phil Corwin, a lawyer at the Washington firm of Butera & Andrews, which represents P2P network Kazaa: "I don't think file sharing can be shut down short of shutting down the Internet."
