When I listen to "classical" music, I am amazed at how difficult it must be to play and compose it. My favorite "classical" composer is Bach.
Now for modern music, I think the best music that's been made is by King Crimson. But I can't think of any striking examples of their individual songs. |

Nobody has mentioned Tommy Bolin.
This guy was way ahead of his time. His Band had some great players in it. He was another guy who died of a drug overdose. Some called it suicide. Try 'little sister' or 'shake the devil'. He has a few more really good ones but I can't remember the names at the time. |
