"And while Liam Gallagher was unusually well-behaved (no doubt due to carefully timed doses of Prozac) it was former Sex Pistol John Lydon who stole the limelight as he heckled winners and tried to hand back his own award."
John Lydon: "Who wants this (award) - because it doesn't mean anything to me." ...it also means absolutely nothing to me that you are currently photographing me with my characteristic orange hair and trademark "I-hate-everything" expression... but do I look ok? Madonna told me to wear this shirt... You don't think I look fat in it do you? "Oxford-based Radiohead beat off competition from the likes of the Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers and last year's winners Travis." Wonder if their arms got tired? (rimshot) "And Roxy Music founder Brian Eno was awarded the Special Award." Special Award? Wondering if that's "special" as in "special olympics," or "special" as in "sorry, we just realized that you produced, engineered, influenced or personally made 75% of the great music of the 70s, 80s and 90s and no one has ever given you an award." As far as Radiohead, this reporter thinks they are pretty good for a band with a chameleon for a lead singer. |

In the past 15 years I've seen many, many live bands. Around this time last year I went and watched Radiohead in a tent in Wales. Best gig ever.

i don't know about the "best", but i do enjoy their music.
i like the way they can go from very melodic and soft, to a heavier sound, and pull it off.
