I have found that the best way to clean a CD-R is using one of those Micro-Fiber cloths, that you can get at nearly any optometry shop. I buy them at walmart...(as much as I hate that place) for around a buck an a quarter. The nice thing about them is that they actually absorb the dust, dirt, and grime that is on the surface of your CD-R (or glasses) instead of rubbing them around and scratching. (they also work well for cleaning monitors)

One more tip, if you are trying to burn a CD that has been scratched up, try giving it a good coating of Rain-X....It fills the scratches, and sometimes allows the disc to play.

Lately I have had trouble burning CD's, I have no trouble putting mp3's to disc, but I have trouble making a copy of my original copy. Anyone have some insight?

( yeah I do go through and close all the programs except explorer and adaptec)
