It's all because he's gay right?
the Republicans don't seem to mind straight criminally deviant wingnuts like Louisiana Senator David Vitter - just the gay ones like Senator Craig.

After reading Craig's arrest report, the matter seems far less "juicy" than Dems want to believe. Judge for yourself.

I think calling the behavior "lewd" is a bit of a stretch. Some of it is decidedly strange. However, I don't think the cops have a winnable case, which is probably why they "suggested" he plead guilty.

He was charged with two counts of "disturbing the peace".

The arrest report is too large to attach - link:

Period. They can all take their DRM, broadcast flags, rootkits, and Compact Discs that aren’t really compact discs and shove them up their bottom-lines.

c'mon drak - you're kidding, right? you actually think Craig was doing something other than cruising for sex in an airport bathroom?

and btw, the Dems are pretty quiet on this issue (as they should be) - all the outraged people calling for his head are Republicans.

I don't recall even a criminal charge against Vitter, let alone a conviction. But the real contrast seems to be the relentless media hype when all Craig did was tap a guy's shoe. Just how "lewd" is that in the liberal world.

The dems have every reason to keep their mouths shut given that the media is doing their talking for them and that they have a little mentioned member named Patrick Kennedy who got a lot less attention for a much more serious crime.

I think the republicans desire to remove criminals from their ranks contrasts nicely with the democrats desire the keep them in theirs.

Yeah and you're not even intelligent.

Why do morons feel compelled to post something when they've got nothing to say?

every time he makes a 'statement", he sinks himself deeper (no pun intended)

he should just shut up....like others I know

http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/09/...est/index.html

albed, what are your political aspirations?..... I fear, you too, may be looking for sex in a men's room at 62....you're showing all of the signs.........sad, very sad

self righteous, unfullfilled pricks

"flippin 'em off" ...i gotcha

edit: to say, i am not anti gay, i have several good business relations with gay people (they are actually more professional than the "straight" peeps)

i don't like when people think they are above the law

below the law is fine

above the law......nah, big NAH! get out!
