that's just about the most amazing thing i've heard a mainstream musician announce since the birth of napster back in '99! kudos to micheals and those that follow him - it may be the best thing they could do for themselves and their careers. any artist making music i want who does this and quits their riaa label will hear from me - and my wallet, and i know i'm not alone in this. it’s certainly an enlightened approach, but it’s also enlightened self-interest in the best sense of the phrase. it's a very positive development. - js. |

Agreed. Kudos indeed.
Michael hasn't released anything great (IMO) for over 4 years, but I reckon his die-hard fans will be well-chuffed. A move in the right direction.
