Zeropaid.com forums work with Digital Rights Management
Lately, there has been a lot of talk about Zeropaid.com working with the RIAA and selling IP addresses.
Here is part of an article I found about Zeropaid.com and all of the proof that is needed showing that Zeropaid.com does work with the bad guys. In effort to promote Digital Rights Management, Mr. Chris Hedgecock, owner of Zeropaid.com, travels around the United States to various cities and meets directly with the Media companies and their investors to convince them to purchase his Pay 2 Play methods. On October 8th, at 1:30 p.m., Mr. Hedgecock is scheduled to appear and speak on behalf of Digital Rights Management at Content Worlds seminar on new technology. http://www.contentworld.com/conferen...on_glance.html In a AVNONLINE.COM interview with Mr. Chris Hedgecock, the owner of Zeropaid.com requested that all DRM activists and investors come to his teen portal to learn the habits of P2Prs so that they can be used against the P2P community. Quote:
http://www.avnonline.com/issues/2003...0403_003.shtml So the stories about Zeropaid.com owners working and cooperating with the RIAA & MPAA are true afterall. Be safe and stay away from their forums.

I've seen that before. I know they deny it, but it sure makes me think twice about it.
Btw, to say I'm impressed with what you've done with your download site would be an understatement. Great work.

My firewall has caught suspicious port scans coming from Zeropaid's domain on several occasions. Now why would Zeropaid make port scans on people who visit their website?

Scanning TG's ports is an egregious outrage! It's the equivalent of putting your grubby hands all over her body....wait, bad example, she'd LIKE that At the very least running a p2p portal and working for digital rights is a conflict of interest and is bound to raise suspicion. Talk about working both sides of the fence. |

I went on ZP's websites numberous times, purely on news gathering purposes. I'm better doing a detour now, but I'll have to find another P2P-supportive website with news links in it. Not always easy

Isn't this old news??? Like by a couple of months???
I for one do not like Zeropaid it is little more than a rubbish pile of flames and 1st post bullshit. So I'm not defending them, but it is a useful site to link through to news articles without browsing the news sites themselves. What purpose would it serve them to say sell my IP to the RIAA?? Certainly the RIAA can't hack my system to look for illegal files that would be ILLEGAL! Just by knowing my IP doesn't mean they know where I am or what I'm doing. If they catch me on a p2p network thats different. As for the scavenged together news stories well Quote:

This rumor doesn't quite makes sense to me.
As for them port scanning, hmm... couldn't that be some kinda ad server type thingie? they have some very intrusive popups. I could see ZP portscanning to see what p2p progs you were actively using while browsing, but it seems the resources it would take to portscan and log all their surfers wouldn't be worth the info they recieved back... i mean, that's a giant job...

Monyak, Sharepro, Steve15, whatever you call yourself this week:
You are a troll. I imagine you are at least pleased to have found a site that takes you partially seriously. (I guess you got sick of Slyck closing these threads and UTC deleting them) Personally, I find this thread far more interesting, but you never bother to link to it. Nor to the allegations that you dos'ed several BitTorrent sites. I am unwilling to speak for ZP, but just speaking as a person who has tried your app (4 times now), here are some hot suggestions: 1) Work on your program more, work on your PR less. 2) Streaming, for as cool as it is, is not p2p. Good thing you have that 15 million in the east. 3) Anyone can do inventive "journalism", but the shite you have been stretching to blind the less intellectually gifted lately is shameful. Maybe you should direct that energy into your "War on the MPAA and the Porn Industry". Maybe begin a "War on the RIAA". 4) Someday, hopefully soon, realize that the multitude of portal sites like this one, ZP, Slyck and UTC will always exist. You aren't going to swing everyone over to any one single app. Nor can you attack these sites just because they don't take you by the hand and sing cumbayah. spelling? 5) How many people or apps are even heavily dependent on WM files? I only know of one. They stream WM files. Most other people won't trade that shite because of the low quality. Keep trolling. BTW- the underground looks good, you changed the background? |

And to avoid misunderstandings, I trust Jorge and the Zeropaid staff much more (as pro p2p people) than any of the spamming representatives of ES5. If you want secure p2p use WASTE, not ES5. - tg |
