Burst RC3- Good BitTorrent Client
[6/27/03] burst! RC 3 is now up! Lots of changes in this release:
- Fixed handling of invalid torrents, and List Index out of Bounds bug - Fixed extra % sign on leeching in systray popup - Fixed wrong version in taskbar - Made "Empty Paramater" warning more meaningful - Hopefully fixed some of those access violation read of 0000000 errors - Allocation phase removed.. Downloads start instantly! - Fixed adjusting upload parameters right at the start of the transfer - Low disk space will not be shown if file exists (doesn't work for folders; yet) - New Setting: No Quick-Load Warning - Seed/Leech will now try to guess at what you want the local filename to be. - Fixed "eeding" bug - scrape URLs are now generated the "Correct" way and have an info_hash to lighten load on trackers that support it - Clicking Abort when seeding will bring up the correct warning now - Idiot Proofing: Won't let you transfer one torrent more then once - Idiot Proofing: Won't let you GO without a valid torrent loaded - Errors are properly cleared in console windows - Merged in patch to reduce CPU use - Updated About box - Removed even more debug code from downloaders; reduced memory use - Thanks to t3kn0byt3 for new 32x32 icon and inspiration for the new 16x16 This release fixes a ton of bugs, and brings burst! very close to v1.0 http://krypt.dyndns.org:81/torrent/ |

My Burst! RC1 automatically stopped doing the allocation for some reason. Does it have some form of auto updating?

This version is quite a bit easier on RAM. The first RC seemed to drain 300MB in about 1/2 an hour.

Napho!
What in god's name is wrong with that burst thing!
grrrrrrrrrrrr..................... Here's the poo: Needed to reboot like yesterday, right? and movie is like 86.7% completed, right! and like my puter made the decision that rebooting was no longer an option, right? and stupid me goes ahead and reboots, no problemo - right? wrong..... bloody thing refused to resume my file and i mean I tried EVERYthing i could think of to force it but....no joy. Wound up uninstalling burst and reinstalling something less frustrating......... will prolly play with it again sometime. it just won't be when a file's nearly completed............. Side note: problem I had was prolly my lil black cloud of fate punishing me for doing something I had no legal right doing in the first place........bwahahahahahha! |

According to the guy who made it this version is much better than previous ones (which I found true). Unfortunately it has 1 bug...it doesn't resume much of the time. It's not divine intervention goldie, just a bug. Keep on downloading.
