Most of the stuff I listen to is punk rock, but there is a new album I really like from Alkaline Trio. Allmusic.com correctly classify them as rock, with a very faint punk revivalist influence. The new album "Good Mourning" won't be released until 05/13. But the advance has been online for over a month now, and it's not hard to find.
These are my recomendations in order from the album: Alkaline Trio - Good Mourning This could be love We've Had Enough All On Black All of these songs are pretty damn awesome. Enjoy. |

"Ride With Us"-Turbonegro...Da best rock n' roll band on the planet...and they're from Norway!I enthuse about 'em here...
http://b00mb0x.org/front/2003_03.html "Assassins"-Lightning Bolt...I dunno these guys are v. noisy and obnoxious but pretty accessible at the same time too I think. Worth a download. I luv 'em. "I took her out"-Rogers Sisters....these guys are from NY and they're not sisters hehe...kinda New Wave....New Wave as in rock you can dance to "Love love love"-Glass Candy and the Shattered Theatre....this crowd are kind of on a Blondie buzz....enjoyable "Sound and vision"-The Sea and Cake...this is a cool version of the Bowie song....the rest of the stuff by the band is nice too...real chilled out summer music "Super sexy razor happy girls"-Mikabomb....Japanese girl-punk band...went to see them live recently and they RAWKED "El Sol"-Zwan.....Billys Corgan's new band...i quite like this song "Danger!High Voltage!"-Electric 6...Is this a big hit in the States?....I'm not sure, it is here anywhere....its a great song and amusing to boot "Olio"-The Rapture....this sounds a lot like early Cure The Yeah Yeah Yeah's are pretty good from what I heard too. Sorta seventies punk rock, a bit art, a bit raw and the girls got a great voice. "Y control" is pretty good I heard Hot Hot Heat are meant to be pretty good too although I havent heard anything by 'em Last edited by JackUzi : 24-04-03 at 03:40 PM. |

You can never go wrong with a little Dire Straits. The new 3 Doors Down album would probably appeal to young and older crowds.

JackUzi? I have to say, your avatar freaks me out, yet your title makes me piss myself.
I grabbed everyone of those songs. And then I undownloaded them quickly. I still have a taste of Vanilla Ice in my mouth, yuck. |

well it may not be new but with the 18-45 crowd you can try some Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, Sonic Youth.
Going with newer, give Orgy a shot. They aren't that bad. I recommend suckerface, revival, and there cover of blue monday. |

I’ve been a little down because today my doctor diagnosed me with John Travolta Syndrome. It’s a condition where your face or head grows laterally, getting wider year by year. It’s not so much of a problem and it’s nothing to be ashamed of, it’s just a condition. In fact mine is good because it means my brain is getting bigger too. But not that Travolta guy, his head is mostly fat. The doctors said I am much smarter than John Travolta and I believe them. |

u can try some NIrvana (of course) from the new album -- u know you're right Audioslave - like a stone i'd say Disturbed, ther are not really new and hot but ARE NOT overplayed. Probably "Liberate" For the older ones .. u gotta play some metallica (they are hot now ) they just dod that MTV stuff last night http://www.mtv.com/onair/icon/metallica/ Also theteenages are falling for good charlotte (like the anthem) or chevelle Hmm, more softer u gotta have some COLDPLAY - clocks
