I wouldn't be paranoid about .NET - it's really just a library of net-related services - but I think it is a good idea not to tie your p2p client development into such a proprietary system. The same connectivity functions can be easily implemented without .NET, resulting in less bloated and more easily portable software.

I think it all depends on program developers. If enough of them choose .NET as their platform everyone will have to install it. On the other hand if there's enough resistance they'll do what the Overnet developers have done and make their programs available without it. With TankGirl on their side the anti-NET forces have the edge for sure. |

ok i will try this now seeing theres no .NET
now its getting all this stuff from somewhere....
is there any known spy ware trojans in these "bundles"? edit: looks ok... lots of stuff you can choose not to install i unchecked all the boxes as they came up ran adaware and all seems ok... Last edited by multi : 03-12-02 at 09:54 AM. |
