Fools indeed. Anyway, as the labels seem quite determined to push 'copy protected' CDs into the marketplace, the quality of ripping becomes an even more important issue than it is now. If analog signals need to be used in the process, it is important for the ripper to have a top quality sound card and a good understanding of sound levels etc. You can certainly rip anything you can listen to with your stereo but 'copy protection' may reduce drastically the number of people capable of providing quality rips.
