Has Grokster Inc. hijacked cleanclients.tk?
Dr. Damn, purifier of p2p progs, hacker out of spyware, has long distributed his wares via the website http://cleanclients.tk
But after reading a post on this at Unite The Cows, when I go there now, i get... the Grokster Inc homepage! Have Grokster really hijacked Damn's site coz of his cleanGrokster releases? Not even the RIAA takes over their enemies' sites; and Grokster are supposed to be part of the happy-go-lucky filesharing community! There's a mirror for Damn's site at http://cleanclients.edot.ch/ but I don't think all the links work.

It is well established that the RIAA, and only the RIAA, has the right to exploit artists.

Since I doubt he'd willingly sell out to Grokster, it must be that they forced him to with quite some leverage. Nevertheless, it seems strange to me that he should have handed over his site.

Dr Damn - ' No, they simply purchased the .tk domain, which apparently means that my free TK domain registration was transfered to them without my knowledge. ' interesting |

I'd expect something this low against a p2p company, but from one???
for unrelated reasons, I installed KazaaLite 1.7.1. Their cheap shot means that I probably won't bother reinstalling Grokster in ANY form. At least Damn didn't hack out their homepage from the client's browsing window, but now I won't even be seeing that. What a victory for them!
