The Case Of The Disappearing FastTrack Users
The numbers are WAY down at FastTrack. Could be WinMX 3.1 or maybe a new way to measure users more accurately. Has WinMX gotten you excited enough to switch?

Just posted a thread on Zeropaid, then I found the other one, and the one here. So it's not just me.
It's nearly impossible that ~1.3 million users turned over to the new WinMX or any other network over night. Two possible speculations of mine: BDE's Altnet is now turned on. People chose, or were forced to, stop using KaZaA in order to use Altnet. -or- Just a hiccup at KaZaA's servers - made us see the # of users on iMesh (there must be such a variable on their servers - as this is what you see when using iMesh) instead of the complete # of FastTrack users. Maybe Slyck.com will update their P2P statistics soon - so we can get a better picture of what's going on. Any other similiar, more updated, statistics website anyone knows of? |
