ebay gone
top job , JS you rock
followed the guide and everything sweet as..... no more ebay ...... I've tried Morpheus, Kazaa, Grokster,WinMx, Audiogalaxy, Blubster and a few others . But Grokster consistently gives me good return for my bandwidth, and I love the dummy cd_clint.dll |

One? extra thing
Well it was going to be one, but you never know today do you?
I did the install over the top with 1.5.1, and as suggested moved the Cd_clint thing into the Grokster folder, leaving behind a dummy renamed version with the Read only System & Hidden flags set (Attrib +r +s +h cd_clint.dll) Good old DOS! All seemed Ok, for a while then I kept getting this UPGRADE panel popping, seems for some reason it was being added in my start up file, despite MSCONFIG telling it to "clear off" (unticking) so again, resorted to the good old util mentioned in this topic (Was it Buzz?) to put the straps on rogue startup insertions. All seems now Ok, I must have missed something somewhere, as the previous version did NOT pop up the upgrade option at all? Connection is instant on dialup some files come over very much quicker that similar ones did on morph, but there are still the slouches out there, and of course the non-sharers. What a pity that there is STILL no decent listing feature with columns that stay where YOU want them, and what about that terribly poor file name management, why the hell they have to try and be clever, and separated the path info from the file name, there is no, and NEVER will be a standard presentation form when you have a human contributor, so what is wrong with the format we are all used to Drive:/Folder/Folder/Filename? Total mess alright...... Rant Over... Snark. (Still prefer WinMx) P.S Gaz where's my picture and file attach option gone? |
