SoulSeek Question
I just started using SoulSeek and I'm amazed at the search results for obscure stuff I couldn't find elsewhere! But what does it mean when results are greyed out - user offline, or what?
And is there a way to queue greyed-out results (most of the songs that I want are greyed-out). TIA, Marius |

It's some sort of reward system for giving them money. $5 a month = more downloads..

soulseek has two things, auto resume and auto queueing. if you find a greyed out item, the host may be offline or otherwise indisposed. click it anyway. you'll see it in your transfer window where it will normally turn black. when the host resumes uploading your selection will start automatically - when your turn comes up (which will be sooner if you're a member of the 5 bucks a month club diego mentioned).
if when searching for a file you get no returns at all soulseek can reserve it anyway. add the search item to your wishlist and when it's available ss will inform you by flashing a little yellow flag over the ss logo in your toolbar. click search file and download as usual. if the item is also greyed out, it will auto queue as explained above. - js. |

Thanks JackSpratts, very helpful. And thanks for recommending it in the P2P thread - that was what made me decide to try it out in the first place.

I got broadband and SoulSeek both on the same day, so you could say I'm pretty happy. SoulSeek's amazing - even better than Audiogalaxy was for the songs I'm after now - unbelieveable. Thanks again for the recommendation!

The greyed out results simply mean there is a queue line; if you have download privileges you can jump to the head of the queue. Once you've clicked the files for download, you can right click and find your place in line.

Soulseek is amazing and I love the music others share on the network. My question is: What does Toggle Away do? I see that almost everyone on the network is running on Toggle Away so I do too, but I have no idea what it does.
