In the summer of 1970, a chartered train crossed Canada carrying some of the world's greatest rock bands. The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, The Band, Buddy Guy, and others lived (and partied) together for five days, stopping in major cities along the way to play live concerts. Their journey was filmed. hard to believe everyone was so young once. this would be worth getting just to see Janis sing Tell Mama...but there's lots more for everyone to enjoy, not just former hippies like myself.

i caught a little of this on cable last weekend
saw a sing along with a guy from the band and janis and jerry, they were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out there the train had to stop in a town to resupply and bought thier whole liquore store its offered on coloumbia house dvd club and its time to be a member again for the umpteenth time |
