hope this helped to clear up some confusion...(yeah this version is complete or the final but it aint gonna be called final because the creator, "pablo" feels there is always room for improvement so essentially it will always be a "beta" to him) |

The old Blubster didn't install so there was no uninstall. Just delete the exe. However it left alot of crap in the registry. http://www.napsterites.net/undergrou...light=blubster btw the start menu has an uninstall shortcut |

Blubster?: more like Clogster
I posted this in the original thread by Napho with no luck, so here I am:
"I was able to retrieve the list of files from the GoBack log, however Reg Cleaner didn't register the registry entries. So in case I stop using version 1.2.3 and need to clean the registry where can I find the reg file that Napho posted ? I'm using 98SE and 1) the entries don't match the XP ones posted here, and 2) The reg file was nowhere to be found. Any suggestion where to find it would be greatly appreciated" ********************* Besides, I'd like to know if the 2.0 uninstaller cleans the registry or leave the trash behind like 1.2.3. I copy & pasted the reg entries to a word doc for future reference and it grew to 42 PAGES strong with a font size 10 !!! My experience with blubster's been disappointing. In four days I found only top forty trash, willingly downloaded nothing, and every search consumed EVERY resource available: 50, 60%, even hanging the system. I yielded to the hype and got burned all over this time. Oh well, you lose some, win some. So, again, any truly kind soul answering my questions will get my vote to enter Heaven (on earth). |

All programs leave behind registry entries when they're uninstalled. Usually it's a handful but sometimes it's into the hundreds. I always recommend the registry search engine RegCrawler to clean out the crap.

Thanks!
Thanks for the advice.
I already went back to 9/30/02 using GoBack, and 1.2.3 was never here. I'm gonna try RegCrawler (just downloaded), but the program I'm really looking for is a reg compacter like MS Reg Clean, although compatible with 98SE. Thanks again. |

I already have RegClean.
I used it twice without any problem, and then the third time: Kaboom!, the system would not boot, and GoBack saved the day again. Then found out that MS recommends not using it with Win 98, that's the reason I'm looking for a similar program but compatible with 98SE. Thanks anyways. |
