RIAA Hacked !
Unless they've had a sudden change of heart.
Visiting: http://www.riaa.org a couple of hours ago I clicked on the "news" banner and was presented with the following message: "RIAA against music sharing? Not anymore! RIAA to sue music sharers? Not Anymore With the legal file sharing service kazaa still online, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) today announced that it intends to offer the latest albums for download from riaa.org. As you are probably aware, the RIAA has been pursuing a policy of preventing this activity in recent months We have recently become aware that this approach is yielding only limited results and in some cases may in fact be harming sales and the artists' revenue stream. The RIAA wishes to apologise for the heavy-handed manner in which the popular chinese site Listen4Ever was closed down, and would like to present the following items for free download as a token of its goodwill. Of course the list is relatively small, but please be patient - we expect to offer over 300 next week. We also intend to offer pre-released movies in the coming months. If what you want isn't on the list, then please try Kazaa Lite - available here" ============= Now the URL gets a 404. Marius |

This has made my day!!
My system froze up & wouldn't reboot & nothing would work even with help of tech support for computer (only 8 mos. old). So put in & set up my old 3.1 GB & for 2 days have been getting my old e-mails over and transferring info. to then put on CDs before I reformat drive (OK - I'm an idiot & have not backed up system for 6 mos.). Thought I'd take a mental break & check what's going on here & this is the first thing I saw!!! I can't think of anything that could have picked up my frustrated spirits as much as this has. Now I can continue on. |

HaHa! *sarcasm* I'm so shocked that the RIAA uses M$ IIS! It's not like they have similar interests to Bill & Co.
BTW This and the Girl Scouts hack are really funny! The RIAA one is better IMO and it preaches the message. |

I wanna see the RIAA sue itself. A company actually has sued itself before (at least, a company that it owned).
