"Please Come to Chicago" is actually just Graham Nash - Chicago/We Can Change The World
Sade - Smooth Operator Elvis - In The Ghetto ...Jim Croce - Bad, Bad Leroy Brown ...Andrew Sisters (?) - Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy MY MIND! MY MIND! No, you're getting colder... and windier... p.s. In the "songs with Houston in them" thread I mentioned I was going to Houston May 11th to see Laurie Anderson, but almost as soon as I posted that, a friend in Chicago phoned me to tell me David Sylvian was playing a small club there on May 12th... So now I'm going to Chicago instead... are you psychic? |

Another all-time classic:
Route 66 ("Well it winds from Chicago to LA...") Lyric and Music by Bob Troup. Has been recorded by people too numerous to mention, among them such diverse groups as The Rolling Stones and Depeche Mode... Stoepsel
