Slow speed with Waste
I've been setting up WASTE on LAN, set the connection speed @ T3/LAN
and disabled all bandwith limits, still when i download something i can't get any faster then 1300kb/sec while 8MB/sec should be average (it is on sftp) Does anyone have an idea how to speed this up? Also, is the Zer0 project still active? can't seem to connect to any of the latest IP's. 2nd Also, is there a good alternative to the currently dead Alliance project? it never worked for me but the idea is nice and simple, decentralized DHT with filesharing. |

quick couple of things kwukduck:
waste speeds on my lan peak at around 900-1200 k/s, but vary wildly (atm they're 400 k/s). i don't know why. something about hash validations perhaps. zer0share is always operational. while often it's just drak, hpie and i, it hasn't shut down since it started. here's a current ip: 64.252.36.63:11150 alliance is no longer running here. it's too bad because it is by far the simplest private network to operate, however the java-based app consumed too many resources to run continuously. should that change i'll restart it but i haven't found anything to replace it. - js. |
