Pfffffft. You make this sound like you thought about it all by yourself. I suppose you owed me one after I forgot to mention you in my System Mechanic post. Now we're even.

a few other suggestions:
a)try using The Playa it can play .dat files b)try using Irfanview with all the plugins its also does the same thing c)Make sure you have the lastest version (7.1 of media player by microsoft if you want to view new asf and wmv movies d)you can rename the partial .dat to .avi and right click on the avi and select properties>preview (with microsoft windows media player 7.1 and higher) e)Get a program called Ulead Media Studio (yeah I think that's the name it can view real movies, quicktime, avi, mpeg , etcetera sorry i did not include links to the sites or where to get them but they can all easily be found by doing a Search on Google. Thanks, Napho for the info and Dawn what's up between you and Napho? or should some things best be left alone? |

The Donkey, eh?
that's one I'm not familiar with (filesharing program anyway) but judging on just appearances alone I would say the ones on the left would be the one you can try renaming. p.s this part is important: If you use the Divfix.exe as suggested above so that you can watch your partially downloaded files before they are completed you WILL NOT be able to resume anything which you use DivFix.exe on so it IS RECOMMENDED that you MAKE A COPY of anything you wish to preview and then RENAME the COPY and not the actual file itself (sorry please don't take the above in CAPS as "shouting" I was just trying to stress or emphasize the importance of doing this with a COPY and not the ORIGINAL FILE[/i] ) How is that Donkey working out for you btw? is it GOOD? and are you really in the process of working on your own filesharing app? can you give any details? Thanks and I hope I was helpful [Side Note] Harbynger,,,thinks to himself...hmmm I really should make the switch to XP as it seems to becoming the defacto standard among new computers and new computer users.[/side note] : ) (the last part was not an intentional insult merely an observation ) |

Thanks for the info on DivFix.
Yes, I love edonkey. I go for the large size movies, and it's the one place that has the most. It's slow tho. But I don't really care. I just start the downloads, and leave them go till they get here. As far as the fileshare, nope, I was just joking. He sends me alot of programs, and we have a few spots on the net that we go play, but that's about it.
