Here's the stuff I've played with:

Morpheus - current software finding tool for myself.
Audio Galaxy - current MP3 finding tool

eDonkey 2000 - installed twice, never thrilled with it for some reason that escapes me now.
Napigator - was great for getting on non Nap servers back in the day
Direct Connect - neat but nothing special
FileNavigator - see above

Share Sniffer <- heh not what I would call a sharing problem - more of a scanner looking for open 139.

AudioGnome - It set me free from Napster :)
BearShare - had problems scaling in the eariler versions - haven't played with in recently.
SongSpy - More you share the more you can download, nice concept - had a little trouble getting going at first but in the beginning the programmers were very good about responding to suggestions.
Hotline - Granddaddy of warez and appz
Freenet - not quite in the same field as the rest of these, but very cool all the same.
Gnutella - famous for the scaling problems

Or course there's IRC as well which still seems to yeild the highest quality of tunes and videos.

Some thoughts about these programs in general:

Don't try to scan my whole system for MP3s - that annoys the hell out of me. With almost 100gig of networked drives the last thing I need is to sit and wait while you decide what I can and cannot share. I have tossed more beta releases into the trash because of these one small thing than any other reason.
