The fact that it's a .wav has nothing to do with the audio quality. The only drawack to wavs is that they are huge as they lack the compression of an mp3, but otherwise the sound quality is about the same -- save for the quality done in recording the .wav in the first place.
I myself am still trying to figure out why ripping in CDex takes 20 times longer than it does in MMJB. I can rip an entire album in 192kbps with MMJB in the time it takes CDex to rip a single track at the same bitrate.
