Default People That Voted Republican...

In a small way I feel sorry for all the people that supported the Republican White House and Republican Congress; the people that voted Republican did so because they believed the White House and Congress. All those people have to show for it is lies, spin and deceit, not to mention criminal behavior. It is sad really...

Congressional Republicans came into office claiming to end corruption and big government and instead of ending either of them, they raised them both to a new level...

Lobbyist and convicted felon Jack Abramoff's relationship with Republicans have put some behind bars and others with pending criminal prosecution. Republican Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham was convicted of taking bribes from defense contractors. Illegal activities were occurring in Republican Congressman and former Republican House Majority Leader Tom DeLay's office. He has stepped down from Congress while he faces trial on campaign fundraising charges. Michael Scanlon, DeLay's former aide has pleaded guilty to conspiring to bribe public officials and DeLay's former chief of staff Tony Rudy has pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges. Jack Abramoff has ties to many Republicans including Montana Senator Conrad Burns, the Christian Right's Ralph Reed and others. But it doesn't end there. Republican Senate majority leader Bill Frist is under investigation for insider trading. There seems to have been a lot of criminal activity under the Republican Congress...

There has been a lot of government under a Republicans. They expanded government and the debt while cutting taxes. Basically they pay for a larger government by charging it and having the next generation pay for it long after they have retired to their condos in Florida. Your kids and your kid's kids will be paying for the overspending of the current Congress. What did the Republican Congress and Republican White House give you? They gave you a war. They have no idea how to win the war nor how to get out of the war but they gave you it anyway...

The Republicans increased the size of government creating the Department of Homeland Security. Their first big test was helping the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina and they failed miserably, leaving men, women and children to fend for themselves for days. If they respond that bad when they know a hurricane is coming, just imagine how they would respond to a sudden terrorist nuclear attack. I think it is pretty safe to assume if an attack happens in your city, you are on your own so prepare with Hurricane Katrina in mind...

The Republicans were ready to turn over the control of key American ports to United Arab Emirates based Dubai Ports World. After 9/11 one would question turning over control of American ports to an Arab government company but most Republicans seem to be okay with it until the media made it public. It must make those that voted Republican wonder why they did when they look at the record...

Now court documents show that the White House leak in the CIA leak investigation was leaked by President Bush himself. Vice President Dick Cheney's former chief of staff, Lewis "Scooter" Libby testified that he was told by Cheney that Bush authorized him to leak classified information to the media. Bush has stated he would fire anyone that leaked classified information. Now you are talking semantics here. A president can declassify information, so one could argue that if a president authorizes it then it is no longer classified however there is a certain process used to declassify information and Bush didn't use the proper methods to declassify the information so it may have still been classified. Bush knew who the leaker was and yet he still said he would fire anyone that leaked classified information. Now if you believe the argument that it wasn't classified, at the very least President Bush misled the American people by not telling them that he declassified the information and by pretending he didn't know who leaked it. Either way, if the president really did authorize Libby to leak it then he is a scoundrel for misleading the American people. If Cheney lied to Libby and President Bush didn't authorize the leak, then the scoundrel is Cheney...

I do feel a little sorry for those people that voted Republican. They are looking pretty stupid these days with all the lies and corruption. I feel especially sorry for those that are still proud of voting Republican, not only did they get fooled in the last election, they are so dumb that they will do it again. Republicans are consistent; they make the same mistakes over and over again...
