This should be no surprise. A couple of years ago kazaa's main goal was to form a pay service and limit mp3 bitrates to 128k. I've always been very skeptical of morpheus, (although I have used all their releases,) when it switched from the short lived successful napster/opennap platform to the kazaa platform. If the current kazaa(old Morpheus) platform is your choice, just download grokster and remove the spyware. There's a thread posted in this forum on it if you need it. Or use gnucleus. It works well.
