Thumbs up

Thanks Jack for another great WiR edition!

So many interesting topics this week....

IPv6 is definitely a very important development. Together with the growing consumer bandwidths it promises a much better infrastructure for p2p.

The article seemed to be slightly anti p2p but I recommend reading this sort of articles between the lines.... the writers on mainstream sites and media may often need to put in some 'politically correct' comments - or the editorial staff does it for them - but the message is clear anyway: IPv6 will (in time) make things easier for p2p and even harder for the copyright nazis to control...

Senator Coleman's plan on a P2P Summit is interesting...

Quote:
Tom Steward, Coleman's communications director, told internetnews.com,"solutions are being developed in the private sector but not all the parties are talking with other. We want to get everyone in the same room."

Steward said Internet service providers (ISP), hardware and software executives, P2P companies, entertainment industry leaders, technology experts, privacy advocates, academics and entrepreneurs will be invited to the Washington roundtable to discuss the issue.
...but looking at the above list of planned participants, can you spot one or two essential parties missing?
