For me, it isn't even about the money. It's about our sovereignty. The politicians and pundits who supported DACA have been making a very crudely-reasoned argument lately: if you oppose DACA it's because you oppose immigration (note they no longer make the distinction between legal and illegal immigration) because you are racist. This argument is about as rigorous as a wet noodle, but when the end goal is to give undocumented immigrants the franchise—because Democrats are learning they can't even win the elections they've rigged anymore—then who cares about logic and reason, or ethics for that matter?

Illegal immigrants who grew up here usually assimilate pretty easily, most all of them are fluent English speakers, and they want to stay, to work here, to pay taxes here, all of that. If they weren't already here illegally, and if they weren't indoctrinated by their illegal immigrant parents that they deserve the unearned privilege to stay here, they'd be exactly the sort of people we'd want to immigrate. DACA wasn't the proper way to handle the situation so it's good that Trump's doing away with it, but I'm sure there's a way to give legal status to illegal alien minors in a way that doesn't make them eligible for a bunch of free stuff. Letting them vote, though, is out of the question, unless they go through the same process all naturalized citizens have to go through.
