Indiana if you like to know what codec was used to encode you should try this if have not already

It is a Mp3 checker reads bitrate/encoder version/stereo,jstereo etc. awesome tool. I use it to check a file shortly after it starts and if I don't like the codec I cancel and look for a good one

And thanks schmooky yes I was referring to
--alt-preset standard as a replacement for --r3mix
