Sears, Roebuck and Co.

"Sears, Roebuck and Co. has been a dominate force in the retail industry for many years, actually over a century, and has continually shown a dominance in the way that their business is run. However, in 1992 Sears realized an extreme financial loss and was faced with the possibility of a deteriorating business if changes were not made in many areas of the large retailer. Some of these changes would include a new Chief Executive Officer, Arthur C. Martinez. Under his leadership Sears, Roebuck and Co. would see an extreme turn around not only financially but also internally throughout the stores. Gladly, Sears, Roebuck and Co. was able to prevail and once again is starting to show dominance in the retail industry, founded now to be number two in the retail industry. I would like to first address Sears remarkable history, then the reasons and path to their rapid decrease in profits, and finally their road to their once again success. "
I was afraid of that...sears and roebuck being the same company

I enjoyed the read (never knew that Allstate Insurance is a subsidary of Sears)
