AFT, yeah, but given the go-ahead by Ms Janet Reno aka Attorney General of the United States of America aka Ms BuckStopsHere. The point is the Federal Government ended up looking totally incompetent, completely incapable of dealing with a little band of misfits in Texas.

That's probably true. They have to go thru this chain of command thingy, and too many people know too much about everything.
