I wish I knew what an MPC file was?

I think most servers do not care what file types you share, they are rightly concerned about content of course, hence some do put limits on things like .AVI .MPG .DIVX etc.

Generally its the client that imposes limits, but there are ways of getting round that anyway, just disguise all files as MP3, the classic method on Napster was to "Wrap" them, with a fake MP3 header, programs to encode & decode became quite sophisticated in the end, do a search with the key "Wrapster" and you will find all sorts.

It's a bit of a chicken & egg situation though, you always need a decoder to start you off, at one tme there were sites available for downloading decoders, today most appear as "Wrapster" files anyway.
