There is a bit of confusion about RIAA's ability to snoop on this new network. The encryption is not the problem, as any node on the network will be able to read all traffic. The barrier is that in order to join the network (the architecture supports up to 50 nodes) you need the network's public key and a node ip address. Also, once in, it's impossible to kick someone out; you'd have to regroup and form a new network. So people will create networks, and won't let anyone they don't know in.
