If anything I want is on Bittorrent, that's definitely my #1 choice. Faster than anything else, and if a download gets started (torrent is alive, tracker is up) it finishes almost always.
WASTE is my second choice. As it is friends sharing with friends, downloads are practically guaranteed to finish but being a single source technology the speed depends much on who is on the other side.
eMule comes third. Plenty of movies and plenty of music available as AweShucks mentions. If the file has multiple complete sources the success is almost guaranteed; if it is a rare item with only a single source or no complete sources at the time of the request it is a question of luck whether you get it or not. Patience is needed in any case.
As a last resort I may try WinMX but it is such a lousy network nowadays that I rarely bother to go there.
