Default KaZaA Wants Everyone To Pay

In a letter to the U.S Senate last week, Sharman Networks, owner of the KaZaA file sharing system, asked Sen. Joseph Biden to “step in and halt the 'whack-a-mole' litigation excesses of the music and movie industries through new legislative initiatives that compel content availability, while establishing a compensation scheme that requires a contribution from all the many industry sectors beyond P2P software that benefit from content availability."

Sharman went on to say “We are deeply offended by the gratuitous accusations made against Kazaa by witnesses before the committee, including ludicrous attempts to associate an extremely beneficial, next-generation software program with organized criminal gangs and even terrorist organizations."

Hmmm.
