i've got no problem with his megabucks - as far as i know, he made his money the old fashioned way. the Presidency gets bought anyway you look at it - it's just a question of who's paying. party affiliation doesn't seem to have much relationship to competence either. plain old competence and common sense in an elected official would be fucking thrilling at this point - i have no idea whether Bloomberg has either but he seems to know how to run NYC.
