saw some interesting bands last weekend at the wakarusa festival
flaming lips
goverment mule
reverend horton heat
disco biscuts
STS9
bela fleck
robert randolph and the family band
buckethead
my favorites were mutaytor and hurra torpedo
mutaytor fucked some shit up
lots of athletic dancing with fire, hula hoops and a rope swing. surgery to seperate siamese twins was preformed on stage as well.
but the show stopper was a band from norway called hurra torpedo and their large kitchen appliance sound. at one point the guy picked up a stove over his head and smashed it on a dryer. all to the sound of total eclipse of the heart.
i even heard a band play "fearless" by pink floyd but i was too busy working (vending food) to know who it was.
hard work and hot camping but id do it again.
