Counting Crows I would have to say are awesome! and would agree with you on how they have thoughtful lyrics. I also like Dave Matthews, but mainly for the music itself.

I'd have to agree with
Jader on his Bush, Stone Temple Pilot, and Pearl Jam, nominations. Tool I enjoy sometimes, but I don't like songs with a lot of swearing, which well we all know why then I wouldn't like Tool all the time

twodogpeople nominations I have not listened to any songs by either groups/persons they mentioned.
