I don't believe that's what we're talking about. If you want to have a private server running, don't just make it a secret address, set the server to only let known (ie registered) people in.

The networks you mentioned are annoying, because they ARE private or restricted, and should not be listed in public directories. They just piss people off. If no one knows your server exists, and you want it that way, you can't really have unhappy potential users; there are none.
