A wacky neighbor of mine used to keep a huge pan of catfood on her porch and I'd see a dozen or so feral cats around it when I drove by as well as blood and feathers under my birdfeeder in the winter so I understand
this guy's motivation and may or may not have pursued similiar activities. (The neighbor has since died and there's no catfood or cats around now.)
I've read articles associating wild bird declines with housecat increases. What takes priority?
