Since moving to central Washington and experiencing the dearth of creativity that is top 40 FM radio, I've been streaming music from Pandora during the 15 minutes it takes me to drive to work and the 15 minutes it takes to drive back home. Pandora, I recently read, has never turned a profit in its 17 years in business. Somehow it still feels like getting free music, even though I don't have much control over it. Why, just three days ago I installed a stereo in my truck that has the Pandora app built in; it connects to my phone for access. But knowing my luck, the company will go tits up before the end of the year and I'll have to revert back to piracy (or Spotify
).
