OK, so, I'm in the process of moving...so today I picked out about 40 cd's that I basically don't listen to (mostly because they were one hit wonders that I got burned on when I bought the cd and the rest of it sucked....we all know how that goes
) and I went down to my local Hasting's (a 140+ chain of music/video/bookstores, for those of you not familiar with it), coz they buy used cd's...
...so I have the store manager going through my cd's, scanning them to see what their computer says they'll pay me for them...and he asks me why I'm getting rid of them, so I tell him it's coz they sucked and when I hear a good song now, I just d/l it so I don't get burned buying the cd....
...and he says to me, " yeah, I think I heard about that downloading music thing "....
...and I walked out of the store with my money in hand and just laughed - how can somebody be so clueless about the future of their own industry?
