if your using a single drive (CD-R, CD-RW) check the manufactures FAQ for hints on copying.
Believe it or not on mine all it took was a defrag. seems all little bits being written to disc were causing noise. I solved the problem permanently by adding a Straight CD drive to copy from and setting the software not to cache to the hard drive, but go straight to the CD-R drive.
