sat radio was the ultimate in passive audio distribution. homogenized and standardized. hop in any car anywhere and the sound is always perfect, always the same. problem for sirius/xm was that the internet made it easy to assemble content and proved most people don't mind doing it. matter of fact many actually enjoy it and that leads them to personal playlists that national sats couldn't posssibly match. no question, plug in media is the great way to go, and at 8 gigs a disc front end units that play dvd-roms aren't bad either.
